MichaelKNAPTON (Low Fell)At home, surrounded by his family, on 11th April aged 71 years, Michael (Mick). Dearly loved husband of Teresa (Terri), dearest father of Matthew and Kate, Victoria and Kathryn, much loved grandfather of Francesca and Theo and a dear brother of Pauline, David and Simon. Also much loved and missed by Charlie the dog.

Friends invited to service at St Peter's Church, Low Fell on Wednesday 1st May at 1pm and to the cremation following at Saltwell Crematorium. All welcome afterwards at The Victoria, Kells Lane. Family flowers only please but donations in lieu may be made at the service for Gateshead Palliative Care Team

It’s very sad that Mick has left us, I’ve known Mick for donkeys years and it’s very easy for me to say that Mick Knapton was an absolutely top bloke. I’d see Mick most days for a teatime drink in the Vic, it was always great crack, lots of micky taking and I’ll miss those rich conversations. I’m very pleased to have known Mick Knapton, RIP Mick.
